We found a post today which introduces a cool mod with an interesting hide and seek gameplay!
Of course, we don't want to keep this from you:

Team Fortress 2 Mod: PropHunt

PropHunt is a funny mod, which combines hide and seek childsplay with Valve's team-based game. The principle is classic and simple: one team has to hide from the other as long as possible. The red team is spawned as random props which are chosen according to the current map and setting. You have 40 seconds time to find a fitting spot where one doesn't look deplaced before the Blu team consisting of Pyros and Heavys comes for you.

The catch: Pyros and Heavys can't shoot aimlessly, because every attack costs some of your health. So you can only perform quick checks on suspicious/moving objects. Every player has the chance to gain full health on a control-point in every map, but this attracts the hunter's attention or costs time for the attacker. 2:20 for every round isn't always enough.

Unfortunately, the gametype itself is a bit buggy and there are only few servers with this mod, so you most likely will not get a slot. It might take a bit longer to wait for a slot, but it's totally worth it!

We like this mod and every one who finds fun in playing a creative new gametype should definitely give this one a try!

cp_amsterdam, if I had to describe it in one word, it would have to be polished.

Amsterdam is a map that takes place in, well, Amsterdam, and uses nearly no original assets. From what I played, it seems to be mostly custom models.

Of course, this dosent give it an excuse to be bad gameplay wise, so its a good thing it isn't.

It's a very simple CP map, BLU attacks RED. BLU runs out from their spawn, accross the tram filled streets, and into the enemy building, where they'll capture one control point, then move on to the rooftops for the battle for the last one.

The maps a very small map, enjoyable for a quick switch to it. If I had to point out something it lacks, however, its replayability. This map really is more of a quick map. Play a round or two, move on. Nothing like this should be put on a 24/7 server, and its a good thing.

Short review, I reccomend this on any custom map server, you can grab the Beta Version here:

Since the release of King of the Hill, excited to see what the community might add to the new gametype. In the Unreal Tournament scene, KotH was only on the fringes, so I waited hopefully for great TF2 content which should prove what the Mapper community really can do.

To put it simply, KotH is a simplified version of CP, reducing the ControlPoints to just 1. In my opinion, it should be about time now for the mapping community to bring out something hand-tight.

After numerous rounds in changing between sawmill, nucleus and viaduct, I thought this was the right time to dig up some real great stuff and give it what it deserves: Fame and glory! ...and a little review.

So I wandered around in the net, looking for a King of the Hill map in it's final-state which represents what makes the KotH gametype special. Something which should receive a permanent spot on all voting lists!

The yield was humble, but I found what I was looking for! Among other promising projects, innovative ideas, stunning atmospheric levels, and those I personally am looking forward to; there was one map which caught my eye and which really I want to examine carefully:

ctf_Aerospace: A fun, simple map, but yet another that has a very well done skybox.

It gets its name by the fact that overhead are planes, RED and BLU's fighitng above.

Paired with awesome sounds, this skybox really works and gives it more of a battle atmosphere. But don't get this map wrong, it doesnt give up its gameplay for the skybox.

The map is a generaly a very small map. Two bases paired against eachother, seperated by a small wall, and a small green cave.

Once again, this map is great for most classes, its very open, so Pyros might have a hard time, but thats reedeemable by the fact they can make great guards.

The map is very real looking, while keeping it great for gameplay.

To sounds are just great as well. The soothing sound for planes swooping eachother overhead, doubled with the normal gameplay sound is a very interesting, and fun, sound to hear.

Its a very polished, and I reccomend it for any server owner or someone looking to try a new map out.
